Why do people buy 1000€ to literally use them to write documents,
view PDFs and watch movies, like, ??? just buy a 300-400 one and go
with it, you do not need 16GB of RAM to send an email or a i5 to watch
a fucking movie, like its such a waste of money, my friend just bought a
1000€ because his father said him so (even tho his father wasn't as good
as computers as me, who had recommended him to buy a refurbrished
laptop [my friend initially agreed with me but his father fearmongered him
into buying a new laptop because he wasn't sure it would be in good
conditions or something]), three years ago my mother needed a laptop
and I told her a 300-400€ would suffice but my stepfather convinced her
to buy her a +1000€ because ???, like this benefited me in the end since
I sometimes use this to play Drehmal which I couldn't with my normal one
or like compressing files/downloading files faster, but still... she only uses
it for PDFs, Youtube and Word. 
Why do nobody listen me when I tell them to buy a modest computer for their
modest needs?
